What is Proposition 65?

Prop 65 is a California law that requires a warning for products containing any of 900+ naturally occurring or synthetic chemicals. A Prop 65 warning does not mean a product is unsafe. These warnings are common in California, found in everything from grocery stores and coffee shops to hospitals.

Why is this on Numin?

Numin contains real, earth-grown botanicals. Because plants grow in soil, they naturally absorb trace amounts of minerals and elements from the earth, including heavy metals like Lead.

While these elements are naturally occurring and our products meet all federal safety guidelines, California’s "Safe Harbor" levels are significantly more stringent than the FDA’s. For context, many common organic vegetables would require this same warning if the law applied to raw produce.
